The International playwrights forum with the subject "Growing dramaturgy"

 

The International playwrights forum with the subject "Growing dramaturgy", organized by Theatre Epicentre and ASSITEJ Serbia, was held in the theatre "Duško Radović", in Belgrade on 6th and 7th June. The forum's main event was two-day-long promotion of the anthology of the contemporary texts for children and young people "British reader", written by British authors and published by Theatre epicentre.

The book was presented by the editor - Ivica Šimić and by plays selectors: Tony Graham and Teresa Ariosto. In the framework of the forum were organized public readings of five plays published in the book: Brendan Murray -  How high is up, Mike Kenny - Stepping stones, Charles Way - The spell of cold weather, David Greig - Yellow moon and Denis Kelly - DNK. Besides the editor and selectors, who took part in the forum, there were also welcomed British authors whose plays are published in the "British reader", Brendan Murray and Charles Way, as well as playwrights and dramaturges from Poland, Romania, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia.
